Well, we thought we were finished with the 2008 foaling season - but one little girl snug in before year's end! Bluberry did not have a baby in 2 1/2 years so we were not really sure for when she was bred. We did keep a close eye on her in our drylot and couldn't believe it when she bagged up within 3 short days!!! The night of the 27th we had some really bad storms with lots of rain. That day we had 75 degrees and we knew the storms were going to have to be strong. I got a stall ready for Bluberry and put her in it. I was hoping that she would have her baby that night since it was supposed to get very cold after the storms. After the storms had passed and the rain stopped Bluberry delivered a cute little girl after midnight. She is all girl and is such a sweetheart! Therefore we named her "Gamila" which means "Sweetheart" in Arabic. So now we can really say that "All of our 2008 babies are here!". Bluberry is a wonderful mom, and is so proud of her little girl! Bluberry is such a sweet girl and we know little Gamila can't be any different.

She always has this "Cover Girl" look but I didn't want to name her that since there are several Cover Girls out there already. Reina means "Queen" in Spanish and she always carries herself like a Queen. She seems to know that she is beautiful. She is the exact opposite of Yelina (below), quiet heavy boned!

Rain Maker has beautiful conformation and color. We just wished she would look this clean all of the time. She is a sweet jenny. Sire is Cobra's Little Rex. She is the mother of a little spotted jenny, Miss Fiji (2005).  Rain Maker is bred back to Sundance for 2007. Update: Rain Maker delivered a cute little brown/white spotted girl on 11. March 2007 (Painted Glory). Rain Maker is being exposed to Lakota for a fall 2008 foal.
