Baby Doll - Update: Baby Doll did not look ready to foal, so we didn't get up during the night to check... The next morning a little, woolly spotted boy greeted us... We will never figure this out completely... So Baby Doll gave birth on New Moon, 28. Sept. 2019 to a spotted little boy (New Moon) out of Custer. He is adorable! I already just want to hug and cuddle him.  Now we'll just have one more baby to go...We are holding on to New Moon for now thinking he may turn out as nice as his sire.

Madeira - Update: Madeira this time was not the last girl to give birth! She had a beautiful little brown boy (Hernando) out of Firecracker on 25. Sept. 2019. He is a carbon copy of her. We had watched her really close already the night before and were up checking at all hours of the night. No baby, and the next day no baby either... At about 9:30 pm she finally decided to have her baby right before the only chance of rain we had in the past 6 weeks or better. The baby figured out quickly where his milk was coming from and we were able to get some sleep. He is a sweet and energetic baby... He will have a blast playing with the other babies! I had to share the picture sequence - it was so cute! Hernando is sold

Kelly: Upate: After 4 babies in just a little more than 1 day I needed a break and Kelly gave me 4 days. Then she was super nice to me and gave birth to a daytime baby, a spotted boy (I-Cloud) out of Custer on 18. September 2019. How he fit those legs into the belly, I have no idea. When I went to get him to put into the stall he came right to me as if he already knew me. Maybe he remembers my voice through the belly. Love his little ink spots/.... first two pics at a few hours of age. I-Cloud is offered on our for sale page Sold...

Harli - Update: Harli gave birth to an adorable little FSW - light red based boy (Alzan) out of I-C-Hot Ice on 14. September 2019. Harli is Karena's jenny and Karena couldn't be happier with this little guy. He is a friendly, wiggly little guy. Luckily it is a boy, otherwise Karena would be keeping the baby. He almost has the same pattern and color as Tickled Pink's boy. He is a beautiful baby all around! This little guy is offered on our for sale page...

Alzan is sold!

Patty - Update: Patty gave birth to an adorable very dark girl (Nayeli) out of Tomahawk on  - yes,  Friday the 13. September 2019. 3 babies in one day was a lot! Patty as always is a relaxed mom that just adores her baby. We also adore her baby - she is a sweetheart just like her mom! Nayeli is sold!

Bachata - Update: Bachata gave birth to a cute little dark gray/brown jack (Rodrigo) out of I-C-Hot Ice on 13. September 2019. He is still a bit shy after one of the other new moms attacked him when he was just two days old. He didn't get hurt but she kicked him and he fell and rolled over making him really afraid, also of the other donkeys. He is such a cute, stocky little bundle of fluff with a super wide dorsal stripe. At one week of age he is now pretty friendly and got over being shy. He is fine with the other donkey moms except with the one that attacked him. He leaves when she comes close. Rodrigo is sold!

Rodrigo is sold!!

Piper - Update Piper gave birth to an adorable little spotted girl (Amari) out of Cash on 13. September 2019. Piper did not look like she was about to foal and we missed the birth. The baby was several hours old and dry when we found her the next morning with a mom that didn't have a drop of milk. I fed the baby colostrum right away hoping we were still within the critical window. We gave mom some medicine to bring in her milk which happened a few hours later - up till then we syringe fed the baby. We are hoping that she got the antibodies she needs to fend off any illnesses. Mom still doesn't have a whole lot of milk but hopefully enough to keep her healthy. The next 3 - 4 weeks will be critical. It will be good for the baby to learn to eat solid foods early and she is interested in tasting it. Amari is sold...

Zinnia - Update Zinnia gave birth to a little red (Terra Cotta) girl out of Firecracker on 5. Sept. 2019, about 3 weeks early, as many of our fall babies usually arrive early. She is adorable and all girl with the softest fur. She enjoys her scratches every time she gets a chance! Color doesn't show up well in some of the pictures. Sold

Allyson - Update: We were very worried about Allyson because she was the last one of our rescues to give birth. She came here really skinny and pregnant, and then fought an hoof abscess about 6 weeks before she gave birth. We didn't know when she was bred for and when she really bagged up 6 weeks before we thought she would foal within a couple of days. Her bag over the course of a good week simply disappeared and she looked even skinnier. She laid down a lot because of her painful foot. We thought for sure something had happened to the baby and watched her very close to make sure she didn't get into trouble. She is an older jenny, too. 5 weeks later when it seemed like she was getting even thinner we started supplementing her with grain twice a day. She almost immediately started making a bag again, and this time she foaled a healthy beautiful boy a few days later! We realized she didn't care much about the orchard grass hay we feed to our moms in waiting. She has been eating a lot more mixed grass hay since she foaled and we will continue supplementing her with grain twice a day. Her little boy (Kijan) was born on 31. August 2019 and we can't help but fall in love with him. He is a stocky little guy that is super friendly! We just want to cuddle him all of the time and he is the same way! He is always there to receive his cuddles! Kijan is sold!

Tickled Pink - Update: Tickled Pink did it again - another frosted spotted white baby. She gave birth to a simply adorable little red based FSW fluffy boy (Powerball) out of Cash on 30. August 2019 - about two weeks early. He came out with a really bent ear - but it straightened up within a couple of days. He certainly has personality and already bugged his mom at a couple of days of age as can be seen in the photos. At one week of age he was already instigating play with the much older babies. First row of pics at a couple of days of age, others at 3 weeks. Powerbal is Sold.

Pedrizia - Update Pedrizia gave birth to a little gray boy (Emilio) on 29. July 2019. He is just one day old and below is a newborn picture of him as he greeted us the first thing in the morning. All signs had pointed to that mom was not due for another few days. Though we missed his birth both mom and baby seem to be doing just fine. He is such a loving boy and comes to us every time he spots us. Emilio is sold...

Carmel - Update: Carmel gave birth to the cutest, fluffy (ready for winter) little spotted boy (Copper) on 23. July 2019. He loves to rub all over his moma and we love to watch him do it. (More pictures to be added soon). (pictures to the right are overexposed - he is the color in the first picture).

17. July 2019  Update - Lila gave birth to a cute little dark girl (Surka) during the hottest part of the summer. She is all girl and nature put a nice, short, summer coat on her instead of fuzzies. She has very expressive eyes and some nice ears! We were not sure if Lila was even pregnant until just a couple of months ago when she couldn't deny her baby belly. She was originally bred for April, but apparently she liked July better. This little girl will be for sale. Sold!

Surka is sold!

14. June 2019 Update - Cameta gave birth to a cute little jack (Buttons) with lots of red highlights and the cutest ear tips! The pictures don't show his highlights very well. He is also full of energy!  SOLD

Valera - Update: Valera came to us as a rescue, covered in rainrot, long feet, skinny and pregnant and in need of a teeth float. I felt so bad for her because she would wobble with each step she took because of the big belly. We floated the worst corners off her teeth since she didn't need to be sedated pregnant or with a baby nursing. We don't know how old she really is, but she is definitely older than what we would ever breed. Poor girl. On June 06, 2019 she gave birth to a tiny girl  (Cucina) with the sweetest personality, an interesting color, and the cutest small head with smudges on her forehead. Both mom and baby get extra grain separate from the others every morning. We will be looking for pet homes for both mom and baby. Both have found a home...

Sunny - Update: It never fails... It seems like we are always waiting on Sunny to finally have her baby as we did the last time and again, she was last of our spring group. She delivered a nicely colored girl (Pachuli) on 19. May 2019. We only had one foal her color once before. We are not sure if she is genetically red but she looks to be a mahogany type of color. Pictures do not show her real color - she is darker than in any of the pictures - so it is difficult. The last time around we didn't keep the foal, but we are holding on to this one especially since we were already going to keep her last foal. We'll just wait and see what color she turns out to be. This baby like some of our others has been pretty leggy at birth, but with two stocky parents she should grow into her legs like the other foals did as well.

Red Velvet - Update: Velvet delivered a cute little (19") red/spotted FSW (Benicio) jack out of I-C-Hot Ice on 05. May 2019. She had the thickest but clear colostrum. We didn't want to chance anything, since she had colostrum related problems with her last foal -  so we supplemented him with colostrum, which he wasn't particularly fond over. He held a grudge for about 5 days. Now he is slowly starting to enjoy his neck scratches. For right now we are holding on to him to see how he develops. His mom will be retired after weaning and will be looking for a pet home. Top pics at 2 days, bottom at 5 days.

Ina - Update: Ina is part of the group mentioned above. As the other jennies that are expecting from this group, she was bred to a 33" white jack. Ina is an oversized miniature at approx. 37". She delivered a cute girl (Amarey)on 30. April 2019, that was 23 - 23 1/4 on day 2. The baby should mature in the mini range. Both are sold!

Both Amarey and Ina are sold...

Sidi - Update: Sidi gave birth to a tiny spotted boy (Sebastian) out of Tomahawk on 29. April 2019 at about 5:00 pm. I was happy thinking I could get a night's sleep since the baby had arrived. Not so - his tongue was hanging out to one side and he couldn't keep it in his mouth - he couldn't find his milk and we noticed shortly afterwards that he has a large overbite. He was just a bundle of bones. We ended up having an all-nighter with him milking his mom every 1 1/2 hours and syringe feeding it to the baby. Luckily he caught on quickly how to suck the milk from the syringe and mom was very cooperative. Getting it from his mom was a different story - he would be in the correct nursing position sucking between her front legs (that night I wished she was an elephant...), when he got to the back end he would just walk under her belly or suck on her ankles. Over and over... he was not teachable until he was 14 hours old. He only nurses from one side even after 2 weeks. He is very slowly putting on a little bit of meat over his bones. We are hoping that he will continue to do so once he starts eating some solid foods. Update: At 2 1/2 months he is doing well, loving his grain every morning and he likes to play with his mom. He is offered for sale as a pet only/ can also be purchased with his mom  Absolutely no breeding for either one. Sold!

Sebastian and Sidi are sold!

Sage - Update: Sage gave birth to a cute little dark brown girl (Zumati)  out of Firecracker, on Good Friday 19. April 2019. She almost looks like Sage's first foal CousCous (minus the dark points). Since we really like Sage and she is going on 10 years old, and this is her first girl we are keeping this little one to continue her bloodline here. First picture at 10 hour, other at 2 days.

Maybelline - Update: Maybelline gave birth to our third boy (Navajo), a dark brown blaze face, on 11. April 2019 - (3 boys in less than 20 hours!). Navajo is the boy version of Corbata the little girl above. Tomahawk had almost two identical looking babies except that Navajo has a couple of tiny body spots that Corbata doesn't have. Maybelline is a great first time mom! First picture at 1 hour old. Couldn't decide which pictures to put on here - so I just posted them all. Navajo is offered on our for sale page. Sold

Jaqueline - Update: Jaqueline gave birth to our second boy (Enzo), a dark brown/black on 11. April 2019 out of Custer.  He has lots of bone and is a stocky, straight boy! Just a beautiful baby with the sweetest personality! If he was a girl we would keep it. How he folded up in that belly and came out alright amazes me. Enzo is offered on our for sale page.

Enzo is sold!

Ramona - Update: After three girls came 4 boys!  Ramona gave birth to a gray boy (Jovani) on 10. April 2019 out of I-C-Hot Ice. Ramona is a good protective mom that at first had to figure out what it is all about to be a mom. First picture at 1 day old. Jovani is offered on our for sale page

Jovani is sold!

Nachica - Update: Nachica gave birth to a red girl (Coral) on March 30, 2019  out of I-C-Hot Ice! She has been a talker from Day 1 - at just a couple of hours old when she saw us she gave the cutest little bray! She still brays to say hello when she sees us and comes running. She loves getting attention and makes the morning and evening poop patrol take just a little bit longer.   (Top three pictures at 1 day).

Coral is sold!

Anna Bell - Update: Anna Bell gave birth on March 29, 2019 to a cute dark brown girl (Corbata) with a huge blaze out of Tomahawk! She was all legs at birth but has grown into to them now. She is a friendly little girl. We have not made a decision on her, yet, if we will offer her for sale.  (Pictures at 2 days - last picture at 3 weeks). We have added her to our for sale page since we are holding on to three others - can't keep them all!
